Moroccan Interior Design: A Style Guide
Moroccan interior design is having a moment — but done well, it transcends trends. The key is restraint. One or two well-chosen pieces can transform a space without overwhelming it.
The Anchor Piece
Start with a statement rug. A large Beni Ourain or Kilim rug anchors the room and sets the tone for everything around it. Choose neutral furniture to let the rug speak.
Texture Layering
Layer different textures at different heights: a leather pouf near the sofa, an embroidered cushion, a macramé wall hanging at eye level. The goal is warmth and depth, not cluttered excess.
